How to get to Metz

Arrival by plane

Paris (airfrance.fr)

From the Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG), you have two choices:

  1. You can take the fast train (TGV) at the airport to the Lorraine TGV train station (1h10) which is situated at 25 kms of Metz. Then, you have to take a bus (navette) to the railway station of Metz (30 minutes trip). The price of this bus trip might be already included in your train ticket, so show your train ticket to the bus driver. It might be not, then the price of the bus will be about 7€.
  2. If you prefer to arrive directly to the railway station of Metz, you have to take the TGV from Gare de l'Est in Paris. You can go there from the airport in about 1h: arriving to CDG, take the metro RER B (all trains go to Paris). In about 30-40 minutes you arrive to Gare de Nord, from there you can either walk to Gare de l'Est (it is well indicated and takes only 5 minutes - see the map here), or you can take the metro line 4 for only one stop.

Luxembourg (luxair.lu)

You have to take the bus number 16 - Eurobus (2€) to go to the railway station of Luxembourg-ville (see schedules). You arrive in Metz in about 50 minutes (16,202€).

Bruxelles-Charleroi / Francfort-Hahn (ryanair.com)
